High condition & extremely scarce variation of the Colt Python. Customized by Colt distributor Pacific International, these revolvers were modified into 3 inch barrel models from the .38 Special Python Target model. Period advertising for the California Combat suggests that production was limited to 200. These revolvers are scarce and highly sought after.

This example retains nearly all of its original finish, with a small area of finish discoloration on the left side of frame, to the bottom left of Rampant Colt. No finish loss or issues noted anywhere else on the Colt. Stocks are flawless, and gun is mechanically sound.

This revolver includes factory letter indicating shipment to Pacific International as a Python Target Model, as you would expect to see with the California Combat Python. Overall, this is a high condition example of a scarce Python variation that would make an excellent addition to any high end Colt collection, and in particular any Colt “snake” collection.
