(SALE PENDING) Police Positive Special, .32NP, Dual Tone Nickel, Factory Pearl Stocks

(SALE PENDING) Police Positive Special, .32NP, Dual Tone Nickel, Factory Pearl Stocks

Extremely scarce post-WWII Police Positive Special, chambered in .32 New Police, with factory pearl stocks and dual tone nickel finish.

Revolver exhibits nearly all its original nickel finish in the short-lived dual tone finish, which featured polished flat areas and matte round areas. Areas of the finish have some fine scratches & frosting. Front sight had a small amount of red applied, likely for visibility, but does not detract from the overall appearance of this revolver. What is extremely rare with this revolver is the factory pearl stocks, as many custom options were not utilized in quantity during the post-war period. Few examples of factory custom stocks in this time period are known to this author. Revolver is mechanically sound, with tight lockup.

Revolver includes factory letter confirming all specifications of revolver as presented. Overall, this is an extremely scarce example – one would be hard pressed to find another post-war revolver of this configuration (.32 New Police, dual tone nickel, factory pearl stocks) due to the short period of availability (approximately 1949-1953) and scarcity of custom orders from this time. A great addition to any collection, and specifically those focusing on unique examples.

**NOTE – BOX IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS REVOLVER AND ACCOMPANIES A DIFFERENT REVOLVER**

As of February 1, 2024, the Colt Archives implemented a modest price increase due to increased operating costs. Our online order form has been updated to reflect these increases, and prices are also available on our PDF price list in the “Order a Letter” section. Orders placed prior to February 1, 2024 will be billed at the old pricing.

While this was a difficult decision, we pride ourselves on not having increased prices in nearly two decades & look forward to your continued support.

Sincerely,
