A masterpiece featuring the legendary work of Colt Master Engraver Bob Burt, this extraordinarily engraved revolver would likely cost over $20,000 to duplicate through Colt today. Originally a plain 2nd Generation New Frontier, Burt engraved this gun in 1986, as shown by his dated signature on the underside of the barrel.
This revolver features nearly full coverage in Burt’s distinctive scroll, with floral and checkerboard accents throughout. Significant gold inlay accents the model marking on the barrel, encircles the rear of the barrel & ejector tube, outlines the flutes & rear of the cylinder, and outlines the recoil shield and loading gate. Well fitting wood stocks & a nearly flawless full blue finish complete this beautiful example from the career of one of Colt’s most celebrated factory engravers.
