Single Action Army #303316 – E. De. Mex. Marked (SOLD)

Single Action Army #303316 – E. De. Mex. Marked (SOLD)

Single Action Army # 303316, E. De. Mex Marked

Scarce 1st Generation Colt Single Action Army with E. De Mex. Markings, indicating Ejercito de Mexico, or Army of Mexico.

Revolver exhibits some blue remaining, mostly in the protected areas – cylinder flutes, ejector housing, right side of barrel, and sides of front sight, Remaining areas of revolver have been worn mostly to bare metal, with very light & scattered pitting. Original hard rubber stocks still exhibit most of the checkering, with some areas worn smooth, and are well fitting. Mechanics are strong with all four clicks & tight lockup.

Revolver includes factory letter, confirming factory inscription and shipment to M. Hartley & Co. of New York City. Factory records reflect a total of 124 E. De. Mex marked SAA, in shipments in April & August of 1908. A seldom seen and well preserved example of a Mexican Revolution era SAA with direct provenance to the Mexican Army, this revolver would make an excellent addition to any Mexican Revolution or Colt Single Action Army collection.

Price : $5,000

As of February 1, 2024, the Colt Archives implemented a modest price increase due to increased operating costs. Our online order form has been updated to reflect these increases, and prices are also available on our PDF price list in the “Order a Letter” section. Orders placed prior to February 1, 2024 will be billed at the old pricing.

While this was a difficult decision, we pride ourselves on not having increased prices in nearly two decades & look forward to your continued support.

Sincerely,
The Colt Archives Team
